A single-vehicle crash at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, claimed the life of a Troy woman.

The crash occurred on Coffee County 349 about two miles south of Coffee County 345. Anita Bryant Ballard, 46, was killed when the 1991 Chevrolet she was driving left the roadway, overturned and struck a tree. Ballard, who was not using a seat belt, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.

Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
