Willis Gilmer Ellis age 80 of Brundidge died Sunday, August 10, 2014.Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 4:00 pm in the Shady Grove Cemetery, with Reverends Shirlie Ellis and Calvin Faircloth officiating. Visitation will be held Monday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge. Mr. Ellis was a long time farmer in Pike County and served on the Pike County Commission for eight years. He is survived by his sons Steve (Sharon) Ellis, Jeff (Anita) Ellis, Phillip (Laura) Ellis, and Ashley Ellis, 9 grandchildren, his sisters Merle Jones, Mary Lou (WR) Sanders, Anita Carr, Betty (Rex) Grissett, a brother Johnny Fox (Bennie Ruth) Ellis, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Louise Ellis and a son Michael Kenneth Ellis. Memorials may be made to the Shady Grove Cemetery Fund. Active pallbearers will be Trenton Ellios Brock, Jimmy Ellis, Kim Ellis, Donnie Jones, and Larry Ray Sanders.
