Mayretta H. Strother, age 82 of Brundidge, Alabama passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Troy Health and Rehab. Visitation for Mrs. Strother will be Friday, July 11, 2014 at the Brundidge United Methodist Church from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. Funeral services will follow at 10:30 in the Brundidge United Methodist Church with the Reverends Ed Shirley, Jimmy Spikes and Michael Lawler officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Brundidge.

Mayretta is survived by her children Joey Strother(Missy) and Cindy Mitchell(Wayne). Her grandchildren Blakely Mitchell Ellis(Nathan), Britton Mitchell(Amanda), Bobbi Jo Strother, Shelby Strother, and Annsley Stother. Her sister-in-laws Susie Hastey and Elva Strother.

She is preceeded in death by her parents George and Henrietta Hicks, her husband Joe Strother, granddaughter Michele Strother, Sister-in-law Jeanne Cousins, Brother-inlaws Tommy Strother and Al Halstey and Morris Cousins.

Active Pallbearers will be Britton Mitchell, Hank Strother, Barron Strother, Frank Talbot, Don Renfroe, and Mark Galloway.

Funeral services under the direction of Thrash-Keahey Funeral Home of Brundidge.

In leiu of flowers donations can be made to the Brundidge United Methodist Church, Park Memorial Methodist Church or Hospice Advantage.
