Troy rode Morgan Bundy’s arm to win Monday night in the District Tournament in Eufaula, and with it secured a spot in the title game.

Bundy allowed just two runs, as Troy downed Geneva 8-2 to clinch a championship spot.

Bundy’s strong showing backed up a nearly identical outing from Sadie Leverette Saturday.

Leverette gave up just three runs Saturday afternoon as Troy knocked off Taylor-Rehobeth.

“Our pitching has really been on point the last couple of day,” said Troy head coach Matt Leverette. “Tonight our bats came around and we started getting those big hits.”

Troy plated four runs in the second inning, one in the third and tacked on three more in the fourth inning.

Sadie Leverette and Raegan Brown each had two RBIs to lead Troy.

With the win, Troy moves on to the championship game against either Dothan American or Crenshaw County.

Troy has history with both.

“We know Crenshaw County very well having played them so many times, recently” Leverette said. “We played Dothan American in the warm-up tournament a few weeks ago, and we played them last year at District. We don’t know who will be playing yet, but we do know that Troy will be ready to go tomorrow.”

The championship game is set for a 6 p.m. first pitch in Eufaula.
