Ruth Helms Seal, age 91, born in Molina Florida and a resident of LaGrange, Georgia from 2011-2014 and a resident of Troy, Alabama from 1968 – 2011 died Friday, May 2, 2014 in Lagrange.

Ruth received her RN degree from New Orleans Baptist Hospital Nursing School. While in New Orleans she met her husband, Reverend Thomas J. Seal who was in theology school. While in Troy, she worked at the Troy State University Library and was a long time member of Old Lebanon Baptist Church where her husband was the pastor until his death in 1980. Ruth was a current member of the First Baptist Church on the Square of LaGrange .

Ruth Seal was preceded in death by her parents, Charles A Helms and Ruth Hobby Helms, Husband, Reverend Thomas J. Seal, Brother, Charles A. Helms Jr., and Sister, Doris Helms Bush.

Survivors include, Children, Charles H.(Lynn) Seal , Lexington, KY., David E. (Donna) Seal, Parker, CO., Donald F. (Lisa) Seal, Simpsonville, SC., Grandchildren, Jeffrey M. (Mary) Seal, Covington, KY., David H. Seal, Parker, CO., Michael S. (Lisa) Seal , Simpsonville, SC., Great Granchildren, Adrienne Seal of Covington, KY., Siena Seal of Simpsonville, SC., Sister, Margaret Thomas of Millbrook, Eleanor Ball of Fort Worth , Texas.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 5, 2014 at 2:30PM from the Old Lebanon Baptist Church with Reverend Perry Green officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hills Cemetery. Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held at the church Monday, May 5, 2014 from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM.
