Lorine Childree Garner Morgan of Ozark, passed away Monday, April 28, 2014 at Dale Medical Center. She was 82 years of age.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Elamville with Reverends Randy Adams and Randall Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Assembly of God Church Cemetery in Ariton with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday, April 30 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Morgan was born August 12, 1931 in Dale County to Ray and Sula Simmons Childree. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and was also an avid Braves and 50/50 Auburn and Alabama fan. She loved sports.
Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Bryant Garner and John A. Morgan; her sons, James and Kenneth Garner, and Tommy Morgan; an infant daughter; her brothers, Claude, O’Neal, Porter, Roy, George and Edgar Childree; her sister, Mary Alice Thompson.
She is survived by her sons, Curtis Garner of Ozark and Edward Garner of Dothan, Wayne Morgan of Eufaula and Terry Morgan (Ginger) of Troy; her daughters, Carolyn Turner (Charles) of Troy and Judy Catrett of Troy; her sister, Sallie Leatherwood of Ozark; her brother, Norris Childree (Verline) of Ozark; also surviving are her 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; several nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law.
