Stephen Ard “Steve” Thompson, Age 62, of Troy died Saturday, March 15, 2014, at his home.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 17, 2014 at 2:00 from the Southside Baptist Church with Reverend Andrew Knick officiating. Burial will follow in the Springhill Cemetery. Dillard Funeral Home in Troy directing. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 16, 2014 from 4-6 PM at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

Survivors include, Father, William Key Thompson Sr. of Springhill, Sister in law, Ruth Thompson of Springhill, Niece, Melissa (David) Bradford, Springhill, Nephew, Michael (Sarah) Thompson, Birmingham, Great Niece, Carolyn Thompson, Great Nephews, K.C. Bradford, William Thompson, Dawson Bradford. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Thompson and a brother, Bill Thompson.

Serving as pallbearers will be, James Clower, Billy Joe Deramus, Gary Fox, Howard Jinright, Greg Ricks, Ernie Schofield and Don Wambles. Honorary pallbearers will be the Mens IV Sunday School class of Southside Baptist Church.

Steve was a veteran of the United States Army, a devoted member of Southside Baptist Church and the Lillian B. Green Nutrition Center.

In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to the Southside Baptist Church.
