The Troy Arts Council will present the Minetti Quartett in concert at 7 p.m. tonight at the Claudia Crosby Theater on the campus of Troy University.

The Minetti Quartett is a musical sensation from Austria featuring Maria Ehmer on violin, Leonhard Roczek on cello, Anna Knopp on violin and Milan Milojicic on viola.

The “European Rising Star Series” presented the Minetti Quartett during the 2008-2009 season on the stages of the prestigious European concert halls. Since then, appearances included London, Amsterdam, Brussels, Salzburg, Stockholm and Vienna.

Since 2009, the Minetti Quartett is artist in residence at the “Osttiroler String Festival.”

The Minetti Quartett appears at important European music festivals and many of these festivals are broadcast live on the BBC and other European radio stations.

Elaine Blair, TAC presenter chair, said the arts council is very fortunate to have this extremely talented group of string musicians perform in Troy.
