Max Lee
Mr. Max Lee age 85 of Troy, died Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at his home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 1, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Bush Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Dwayne Norman officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.
Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Mr. Lee was born Nov. 27, 1928, in the community of Monticello, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alto Lee. He was employed by the Alabama Highway Department for 33 years, and after retirement formed his own company, Lee’s Refrigeration. He was a member of Bush Memorial Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon. He and his wife Clyde were members of the Gospel singing group, “The Singing Messengers.”
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Lee Jackson, and siblings Reuben, Agnes and Robert Lee.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Clyde Senn Lee; his children and their spouses, Dianne and Tommy Isbell of Wetumpka and Danny and Dianna Lee of Troy; his grandchildren, Shea Isbell (Denver) Irvine, Kelley Davis, Lindsay Lee, Chris (Trudie) Isbell, David (Farah) Isbell, Jonathan (Mary) Isbell, Bryan (Karen) Isbell, Matthew (Courtney) Isbell, Max Lee and Eric Lee; a sister Ruth Henderson; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
His grandsons will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the John Teal Sunday School Class and the Deacons of Bush Memorial Baptist Church.
The family requests memorials be made to the Bush Memorial Baptist Church or Hospice Advantage.
