PLAS names top graduates, scholarships for Class of 2014

Pike Liberal Arts School recently announced the valedictorian and salutatorian for the class of 2014.
Sara Saunders the daughter of Scott Saunders and Kim Dillard, is valedictorian. Chandler Cox, the son of Kenny and Lydia Cox, is the salutatorian.
The scholarships listed have been awarded to the senior class to this point, with many others still pending. Scholarships recevied to date include: AISA West All-Star Cheerleader Scholarship  – Ragan Knotts; University of Alabama full Baseball Scholarship – Chandler Avant; University of Alabama Leadership Scholarship- John Stephen Grice; University of Alabama Engineering Scholarship – John Stephen Grice; University of Alabama Alumi Heritage Scholarship – John Stephen Grice; Auburn University four-year Full Tuition Scholarship – Chandler Cox and Tullie Everett; Auburn University four-year Achievement Scholarship – Sara Saunders; Birmingham Southern Scholarship – Thomas Woodham; Distinguished Young Women of Pike County Scholarship – Robbie Calk; Pike Liberal Arts School Valedictorian Dunbar Award – Sara Saunders; Troy University Leadership Scholarship – Brian Adams; Troy University Leadership Scholarship Award – Carrley Barron; Troy University Leadership Scholarship Award – Ellie Barron;
Troy University Leadership Award – Rebecca Brown; Troy University Leadership Scholarship – Meredith Caddell; Troy University Leadership Scholarship – Carley Smith; Troy University Chancellor’s Award – Chandler Coston; Troy University Chancellor’s Award – Katie Ward;  Samford University Leadership Scholarship – Sara Saunders; Samford University Leadership Scholarship – Caleb Gray; and  The  Wiley Sanders Environmental Science Scholarship – Shelby Baggett.
