Mrs. Mattie Lee Godwin, age 100, and a long time resident of Brundidge, Alabama went home to be with the Lord, Monday, February 10, 2014. Visitation will be Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. at the Salem Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be Sunday, February 16, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the Salem Baptist Church. Dr. Ellis Bush will be officiating. The burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Brundidge.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Carole (Peter Gaspar of St. Louis, Missouri; her sons Larry Godwin, Ronald Godwin and Michael Godwin all of Brundidge, Alabama; her grandson Damon Gaspar of St. Louis, Missouri; her great granddaughter Amber Bogart; and several nieces, nephews and close relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Godwin and her granddaughter, Selena Michelle Godwin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Assocation.
