The Providence Eagles will take the place of G.W. Long on the 2014 Zion Chapel Football schedule.
ZCHS athletic director and head football head coach Bradley Bowers announced the changed on Thursday.
Bowers said the change was “something we kind of needed,” and feels the new series will benefit both teams.
“Kenny Keith is the head coach over there now, and we have been talking for a couple of years about playing,” said Bowers. “We were finally able to get it to match up. We are excited to get it going.”
Providence will travel to Jack in 2014, and the Rebels will make the return trip to Dothan in 2015.
Ariton and Kinston, two of Zion’s biggest rivals round out the non-region schedule for the Rebels for the next two seasons.
