“Mayor for a Day is my favorite council meeting of the year,” said Troy Mayor Jason Reeves. “Interacting with the students and getting their fresh perspective on municipal government is invaluable to city leaders.”

The winning students will spend the day Feb. 11 touring various city departments, participating in a live radio broadcast and lunching with Reeves and city council members. The students also will meet in City Hall to discuss a resolution of their own, which they will present at the regularly scheduled council meeting.
