Obie Dean Powell

Obie Dean Powell, age 60, of Troy, died Saturday, January 4, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Dr. Mallone Chandler officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Cemetery with Green Hills Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Mr. Powell was preceded in death by his brother, Butch Powell; grandparents, Parnell and Beulah Powell and grandparents, Hardy and Lela Lee. He is survived by his father, Bobby D. Powell; mother, Opal Powell; brother, Dale Powell; sister, Sharon Powell Watkins; nephew, Shannon Powell, nieces, Holly Carroll, Amber Watkins and Abby Brookshire.

Pallbearers will be Shannon Powell, Ben Powell, Danny Rachel, Jimmy Whitehead, Wayne Catrett and Clemmie Seymore. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
