Mrs. Bernice Wesley Flowers of Hamilton Cross Roads past away Friday, January 3, 2014 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Al. She was 88. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 6, 2014 from Hamilton Cross Roads Church of Christ with Minister Doug Williams and Minister Elisha Freeman officiating. Burial followed in Hamilton Cross Roads Church of Christ Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Brundidge directing. Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Skeen Funeral Home in Brundidge. The family also received friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the church Monday one hour prior to the service. She was born October 28, 1925 in Josie, Alabama daughter of the late Ruben Franklin Wesley and Annie Lee Wesley. She was a beautician and a life member of Hamilton Cross Roads Church. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, George F. Flowers, sisters, Collene King and Beatrice Austin. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Joe Franklin (Lynda G.) Flowers, Dothan, AL; daughter and son-in-law: Becky F. (Harry) Sanders, Brundidge, AL; 5 grandchildren: Sabrina F. (Chad) Cochran, Spring, TX; Samantha F. (Richard) Sanders, Dothan; Jared (Emily) Sanders, Adamsville, AL; Andy (Jenny) Sanders, Birmingham, AL; and Caleb Sanders, Nashville, TN; 6 great grandchildren: Savannah Summers, Skylar and Jo Jo Sanders all of Dothan; Cash Cochran, Spring, TX; Enoch Sanders, Adamsville; and Lucas Sanders, Birmingham; and a sister: Bula Mae Di Julio, Los Angeles, CA. Serving as pallbearers were Jared Sanders, Andy Sanders, Caleb Sanders, Richard Sanders, John Sanders and Chad Cochran. Honorary pallbearer was Kenneth Flowers.
