Louise Moncrief Emerson, of Troy died Thursday, December 19, 2013 in Troy. A Memorial Service was held Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Reverend Kenny Horn officiating. Visitation with the family was held Saturday, December 21, 2013 from 12-1 PM at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

Survivors include her daughters, Nancy Emerson of Montgomery, Cindy Emerson Hinton of Troy, Grandchildren, Mark (Mary) Spencer of Alex City, Meredith (Brent) Nelson of Birmingham, Ashley (Hubbard) Powell of Pike Road, Alicia Spencer of Birmingham, Michelle (Nick) Norsworthy of Foley , Great Grandchildren, Thomas Spencer, Hartwell Spencer, Sarah Spencer, Whit Powell and Lucy Nelson, Sister, Lula Mae Moncrief of Louisiana, Brother, Ray (Linda) Moncrief of Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Waldo Emerson.

In lieu of fowers the family ask that donations should be sent to the Henderson Baptist Church C/O Ann Howell, 7030 CR 2290, Goshen, Alabama 36035.
