Wednesday’s installment of the Female Factor luncheon at The Studio in Downtown Troy featured a “Troy Story” of sorts. In an effort to show women who gathered for the monthly lunch and learn what shopping locally does for Troy’s economy, Troy newcomer Whitney Conrad, pictured left, acted out a scene where she visited tables representing Troy businesses that were set up around the room. During Conrad’s jaunt “around town,” Female Factor member Dianna Lee read about each store. From coffee, to clothing, to food, Conrad was able to find it all – right in Troy. Pictured above are items from The Pink Parlor. Below, Shelia Jackson leads the audience in a Christmas carol as part of showing Conrad what entertainment can be found in downtown Troy. Female Factor luncheons are held the second Tuesday of each month and are free for ladies to attend.
