The party is to benefit the 2014 Pike County Relay for Life campaign, so a good time is guaranteed for a good cause.

“A group of us got together and decided that we wanted to do something special this Christmas – something for others,” Kelly Sanders said. “And, we couldn’t think of anything that would be more worthwhile than to support our Relay for Life campaign.”

The idea of a Christmas cocktail party was tossed around and the idea caught the interest of the ladies.

Sanders has recently renovated the historic Emporium, which traditionally has been a choice place for entertainment and arts events.

“We liked the idea of ‘Miracles and Mistletoe’ and everyone was excited to have the Christmas cocktail party at The Emporium, which is a classy place,” Sanders said. “And,

‘Miracles and Mistletoe’ will be a classy cocktail party for a very worthy cause.”

The Christmas cocktail party will feature heavy hors d’ oeuvres, beverages and live music by Dr. John Jinright at the piano.

“Miracles and Mistletoe” will be a time to celebrate the season in festive fashion and in the company of friends and neighbors, Sanders said.

“The Christmas cocktail party is a way to incorporate the season and a fundraiser for Relay for Life,” Sanders said. “We invite the community to join for this special event and this time for giving.”
