The Colley Senior Complex is hosting a steak supper fund-raising event on Thursday with three noted grill masters doing the honors.
“James O. Johnson and Carroll and Danny Rhodes will be grilling the steaks and you can’t find any better grill masters,” said Catherine Jordan, complex director. “And, the steaks will be prime cuts and they will be cut fresh for the supper. You won’t go anywhere and get a better steak than the ones we’ll serve hot off the grill Thursday night at the complex.”
There will be three seatings for the steak supper, the first from 5 until 6 p.m. The second seating will be from 6 to 7 p.m. and the final seating from 7 to 8 p.m. Reservations are being taken until 10 a.m. on Thursday.
“When reservations are made, they should include the temperature you prefer you steak to be cooked and the time frame that you wish to dine,” Jordan said. “The plate will include the entrée, a baked potato, salad, rolls, beverage and dessert.”
But not just any salad or any dessert. The salad will be dressed with Carter Sanders’ special, secret topping and the dessert will be his famous bread pudding, also with a special, secret ingredient.
“If you’ve never eaten Carter’s salad dressing or his bread pudding, you’re in for a real special treat,” Jordan said.
Tickets for the Colley Senior Complex Steak Supper are $20 each. Reservations may be made by calling the Complex at (334) 808-8500.
All proceeds from the Steak Supper will support programs offered through the center.
