Gertrude Pinckard Stephens, age 93, of Troy died Thursday, August 29, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Reverend Michael Alsup officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery. Dillard Funeral Home in Troy directing. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2013 from 1-2 PM at the funeral home.

She is survived by a great-granddaughter Michelle (Michael) Wardlaw; nephews Steve (Jan) Stephens, Tommy (Ann Julia) Hughes; Charles(Beth) Hughes, niece Ann Stephens and several great-nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Stephens is preceded in death by her husband Otis Stephens, parents George and Sarah Ellie Pinckard, brother William Pinckard and Sister Mamie Clyde Davis.

The family of Mrs. Stephens would like to thank her special care givers, April Headley, Debbie Headley, Sybil Hines, Lesia Redman and Hospice Advantage for the excellent care they provided.

Pallbearers will be David Anthony, Bert Barnett, Earl Ellis, Joe Faulk, Tommy Hughes and Kevin Stephens. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to the First Presbyterian Church or to the charity of your choice.
