Police need the community’s help in finding two black males who were believed to have taken part in a robbery/burglary at a Park Street apartment complex.
Officers responded to a call for help in the 800 block of Park Street on Tuesday at about 9:15 a.m. and made contact with two victims.
The first stated that two black males entered his apartment armed with a dark-colored handgun. The men took property and cash from the first victim then entered a neighboring apartment.
The second victim said the unknown men fled the apartment when they saw the victim.
The suspects were picked up by a woman driving what appeared to be a late 90s Dodge Dakota pick-up truck that was black on top and gray on bottom.
The vehicle was reported last seen in the area of South Brundidge Street and University Avenue.
The victims got a good look at one of the suspects and were able to provide police with a detailed description of a 6-foot tall black male who weighed about 250 pounds. Victims said the man had scruffy facial hair, a low haircut and a large tattoo with numbers around it on his right shoulder. Both males were wearing khaki pants and one had on a black shirt.
Police said neither victim was injured during the two crimes.
The Troy Police Department is asking for anybody with information concerning this crime to call 566-0500, or the secret witness line at 566-5555 or CrimeStoppers at 215-STOP. Witnesses need not give their name.
