Weed explained that Collins was employed at a local business and was over some transactions. That was how he was able to steal the identities of at least 16 people.

“These people were from everywhere, ranging from California to Texas,” Weed said. “He made over 80 fraudulent credit card and debit card charges around the Pike County area.”

Weed said there may be even more victims.

“We’ve been doing an ongoing investigation on Collins,” Weed said. “But we don’t know how long [his stealing] has been going on.”

Collins has not yet posted bond, according to Weed. His bond is set at $125,000 – $7,500 for each count of id theft. The case is currently under investigation.
