Mary Edna Langston Bennett

Mary Edna Langston Bennett, former resident of Enon Community and youngest child of Quiller and Sally Leona Cedilia Ming Langston died Tuesday, July 16, 2013 in Hastings, Florida of Colon Cancer. Mary was 67 years of age and was born to Quiller and Leona on October 21, 1945 and had been a resident of Palatka, Florida for over 50 years prior to moving to Hastings. She was a homemaker and enjoyed watching movies and visiting with family.

Preceding her in death were her parents Quiller and Leona two brothers an infant brother who died shortly after birth and her brother Quincy who passed away in October 2008. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Riley Bennett Sr.

Surviving are her partner and caregiver for the past seven years, Richard Baron of Hastings; a daughter Mary Bennett Steele and Robert Steele of St. Augustine, Fla.; a son Riley Bennett and his wife Leah Bennett of Callahan; five sisters, Rachel Newman of Troy, Lorene Dunn of Cantonment, Fla., Kay Ladd of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Winnell Brooks of Antioch, Tennessee, Wonnie Gale of Hendersonville, Tennessee. Two brothers Loyd Langston of Lake City, Florida and Coy Langston of Bountiful, Utah. Three grandchildren Brittni Crawford, Logan Wimberly and Jaryd Wimberly; a great grandson, Jase Crawford; Rick’s children, Chet Baron and kellyn Baron; and Rick’s granddaughter, Carly Baron.

Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. on Friday, July 19th at Palatka Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bill Blankenship officiating and with Masters Funeral Home of Palatka in Charge.
