Covan Worldwide president to speak at Troy commencement

Troy University’s summer commencement service will feature alumnus Jeff Coleman, president and CEO of Coleman World Group, as the keynote address speaker.
Coleman, a Dothan native, got his undergraduate degree at the University of Alabama and a Master of Business Administration from Troy. He was honored with the title Troy University Alumnus of the Year in 2003.
Coleman oversees one of the top 50 largest privately-owned companies in Alabama. The two main divisions of his company are Coleman American Moving Services and Covan Worldwide Moving.
He is also active in serving the community. Coleman is a past-chairman of the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation, the Dothan Area Early Childhood Education Committee, and has served as president of the Wiregrass Museum of Art. He has also served as chairman of the Alabama Commission on Higher Education since 2006.
Coleman is also involved in the Chandler School of Theology Committee of 100, as well as being a past member of the Emory University Board of Visitors. He currently serves on the Troy Dothan Campus Advisory Council in an ex officio capacity and is a member of the Wiregrass Alumni Chapter of Troy University.
The summer commencement, which will take place on Friday, July 26 at 10 a.m. in the Trojan Arena, will host about 350 graduates. These graduates represent 18 states, 10 countries, and will feature the first-ever graduates of the Master of Strategic Communications and Master of Accountancy programs.
Tickets are not required for entry at the commencement.
