Troy Police arrested a man for breaking in Charles Henderson High School early Friday morning.

Officers responded to the school regarding an alarm about 1:30 a.m. and saw lights being turned on and off inside one of the school’s buildings.

Officers found a point of entry into the building and announced themselves. That’s when the suspect attempted to flee the scene on foot.

After a short pursuit, officers arrested the 18-year-old black male they found at the school.

Detectives processed the scene at CHHS and obtained a felony warrant for third-degree burglary.

The man was taken to the Pike County Jail on a $3,500 bond.
