Mary Ella West Sheffield, age 93, a resident of Troy Health and Rehabilitation Centre, died June 5, 2013.

Services were held at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, near Banks with Rev. Larry Bland officiating, on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 3:00 p.m., with burial in the adjoining cemetery with Gearge F. Grubbs Funeral Home directing and friends served as pallbearers. Visitation was held on Thursday, June 6, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Grubbs Funeral Home.

Survivors include two cousins Parker Hollis, Woodville, FL; and Dora Draughn, Covert, MI; a sister-in-law, Leque West, Chattanooga, TN; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and many friends to include a special friend, Randy Hale, Troy, AL.

Mrs. Sheffield was a native of Pike County, Pronto community. She was a homemaker and caregiver.

She was proceeded in death by her father Frank West, mother Sebie West, sister Lois LaWance, brothers, Forest and Hardie West, and her husband Sam Sheffield.
