Vehicle wrecked on purpose

A portion of Orion Street in Troy was blocked off Thursday afternoon after police report a woman deliberately crashed her vehicle.
“It appears a female had gotten upset about a man,” said Troy Police Lt. Bryan Weed.
Weed said, initial information indicates that the woman drove into a yard on Orion Street about 3:30 p.m., hit a parked car, came back out of the yard and hit an occupied vehicle before crashing into a utility pole. The pole broke and had to be replaced Thursday evening.
The victim inside the second car was not reported to be injured.
“The suspect was transported to the emergency room, complaining about pains,” Weed said, noting that injuries, if any, were minor.
Although the suspect has not been formally charged with any crime yet, Weed said he expects her to return to the police department for processing after being released from Troy Regional Medical Center.
