Mrs. Thelma Estelle Maddox of Union Springs AL. passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Southern Springs Healthcare and Rehab in Union Springs, AL. She was 97. Funeral services for Thelma Estelle Maddox will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2013 at Liberty Baptist Church in Bullock County with Rev. Ronald Earles officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. The family will receive friends at the church Friday one hour prior to the service. She was born June 6, 1915 in Bullock County, AL. daughter of the late Ruben Gause and Maggie Outlaw Gause. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Allen Maddox. Mrs. Maddox was a retail sales clerk for many years. She is survived by 2 nephews: Eddie Jones and Larry Jones, both of Union Springs, AL; and a great niece: April Jones, Wetumpka, AL. Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Meredith, Gary Hall, Reid Hall, Randolph Hall, Travis Roten and Royce Roten.
