The Miracle League will be hosting its second yard sale this Saturday at the Troy Parks and Recreation Center as one of the last efforts to raise money for the Miracle League Playground.

The League has raised about 187,000 dollars, so far, just shy of the group’s $200,000 original goal.

Recreation Center Programs Director Lisa Holmes is overseeing the yard sale and said she’s excited to see how much money will be raised to help build the playground.

Those interesting in selling items at the yard sale are asked for a $20 fee, which includes a “booth” with a table and two chairs at the event. While all money made goes to the seller, the $20 fee goes to the Miracle League.

If community members have items they’d like to donate for the Miracle League to sell at the event, Holmes said those items are welcome.

There are 10 booth spots sold for the yard sale, so far, Holmes said. And there is space left for anyone who decides they’d like to participate this week.

The yard sale will begin at 6 a.m. and end at noon on Saturday. For more information, or to register for a booth, call Lisa Holmes at (334) 566-4031.
