The Brundidge Business Association’s annual SpringFest Arts and Crafts show is set for Saturday in downtown Brundidge.

SpringFest will be from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on the lawn of the historic Bass House

Dixie Shehane, event publicity chair, said more than 60 arts and crafts booths will be featured along with musical entertainment, demonstrations, food booths, a parade, a kids’ corner and a motorcycle run.

“SpringFest will feature a variety of arts and crafts including beaded clothing, jewelry, unique rocks and collector’s items,” Shehane said. “The focus of SpringFest is on outdoor items that relate to gardening and plants and also gifts for Mother’s Day.”

Lenny Trawick’s Country Rhythm and Blues band will be on the SpringFest stage from 9 a.m. until noon. Henry Everette’s band Casuals will take the stage from noon until 3 p.m.

“Studio 116 will have art demonstrations and offer group art projects for people of all ages,” Shehane said. “The parade will begin at 1 p.m. and pet entries will be at the head of the parade.”

Parade reservation may be made at Foster’s Barbershop in downtown Brundidge.

A special feature of SpringFest is the reunion tent, which is the gathering place those who have lived and worked in Brundidge in the past.

“The BBA invites those were employees of former Brundidge industries and businesses to visit the tent and register for a variety of door prizes to be given away throughout the day,” Shehane said.

SpringFest will also feature a motorcycle fun run.

Registration for the SpringFest Motorcycle Fun Run will be at 9 a.m. at the Brundidge Piggly Wiggly and the fun run will begin promptly at 10 a.m.

“The motorcycle fun run will leave the Piggly Wiggly and follow a route to Josie, Banks, Troy and back to the Brundidge Piggly Wiggly,” said Jennifer Garrett, event coordinator. “The fun run will finish with the parade.”

Entry fee for the SpringFest Motorcycle Fun Run is $10 per person.
