Nathan Shipman was all smiles because once his volcano began to spew lava, it didn’t stop. Shipman’s creation went on for minutes.
Holley Precise’s sixth-grade science classes crafted volcanos and made them erupt on Wednesday at Charles Henderson Middle School. Precise’s second-period class (pictured) used baking soda, dishwashing liquid, food coloring and vinegar to create a foaming lava.
- Maori Davenport was able to make her volcano erupt several times by adding more baking soda.
- Ava Smolcic and Ariel Barron work together to get their volcano to erupt
- Madison Shelton created a realistic volcano and background as part of her project.
