Sarah Evelyn Miley Boutwell, 84, of Panama City, FL passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013. She was born October 3, 1928 in Troy, Alabama. She was a secretary at Jinks Jr. High School for over 20 years. She also worked for Sears as a salesperson. She enjoyed traveling with her husband during his military training and with a camping group. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City and Beta Sigma Phi. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, doing crossword puzzles and feeding the birds, especially red birds. She was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Boutwell; parents, Robert E. Lee Miley and Mataline Miley; two brothers, Edward Miley, James Miley; and one sister, Marjorie Williamson. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, James Lamar Boutwell; one son, Mike Boutwell (Jeaneen); three grandchildren, Joelle Boutwell Miles (Chuck), Matt Boutwell (Alicia), Jeff Boutwell (Jessica); five great grandchildren, Kyle Miles, Josh Miles, Kayleigh Miles, Dylan Cunningham, Mitchell Boutwell; one great great grandchild, Derek Miles; two brothers, Reuben Miley, Donald Miley; and one sister, Margaret Flowers. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1 – 2 p.m. prior to the service. Active pallbearers will be Matt Boutwell, Jeff Boutwell, Kyle Miles, Josh Miles, Dylan Cunningham, Chuck Jeter and Lee Parsons. The family would like to thank the Covenant Hospice Care Center at Bay Medical for their excellent care. The family will be at Mrs. Boutwell’s residence.
