Sawed-off shotgun found during search

A Troy man was arrested for possession of marijuana, first-degree after law enforcement officers served a search warrant at a home off Airport Road.

Omar Walik McQueen, 42, was arrested late Monday afternoon at 157 Northridge Circle, according to Pike County Sheriff Russell Thomas.

Officers seized about 100 grams of marijuana packaged in 9 plastic bags, a .380-caliber handgun, a 9 mm handgun, a rifle, a sawed-off shotgun combo, drug paraphernalia, a grinder, plastic bags and a police scanner, Thomas said.

“Entry to the residence was made by our Special Response Team,” Thomas said. “The arrest took place without incident and I appreciate the job everyone did.”

The Pike County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Troy Police Department, Coffee County Sheriff’s Department and the Department of Corrections K-9 Unit.
