Mattie Ashberry received her angel wings, Friday, February 22, 2013 at her home with her family by her side. She was born April 27, 1923.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Joyce Hornsby (Draward) , Julia Hornsby, one son Lawrence Ashberry (Fenisha), 2 grandsons, Keith Hornsby, Jackie Hornsby (Jennifer), 2 granddaughters, Jan Snyder (Mike), Leigh Johnson (Ashley), seven great-granddaughters, Candace Biddle (David), Kendra Hornsby, Kayli Carroll (David), Amanda Snyder, Emily Snyder, Katelyn Johnson, Sarah Snyder, two great-grandsons, K.J. Hornsby (Devan), and Grayson Johnson, one great-great-granddaughter, McKenzie Biddle, two great-great-grandsons, Matthew Biddle and Knox Carroll.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years Orberry Ashberry and her granddaughter Kelli Hornsby.

Pallbearers will be Ashley Johnson, David Biddle, Jackie Hornsby, Michael Snyder, Charlie Sanders and Bryan Sanders.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 2:00 pm from the Roeton Baptist Church with Reverend Ben Amlong officiating. Interment will follow in the Roeton Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 23, 2013 from 12:30 pm until 2:00pm at the church.
