Sara Rhodes Dees, age 88, died Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Baptist South in Montgomery. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Rev.‘s Clifford Mathews and Jerry Wilkes officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Cemetery with Green Hills Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Dees was a member of Hale’s Chapel Baptist Church. She was a volunteer at Pike Pioneer Museum.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Grace Stephens, Voncille Floyd, Ruth Jackson and Louise Higginbotham; brother, S.E. Rhodes. She is survived by her husband, Marion Dees; sister, Hazel Colley of Opelika, AL and several nieces and nephews.
