Goshen’ Rigby to accept position at Elba

Goshen Eagle offensive coordinator Ed Rigby will take over one of the state of Alabama’s most prestigious high school programs later this week.

Rigby will be named the newest head coach of the Elba Tigers.

Rigby leaves Goshen after one season as the Eagle’s offensive coordinator. During Rigby’s season as play caller, the Eagles swapped offenses early in the season and results followed.Goshen made the playoffs for the fourth consecutive season.

Rigby has previous head coach experience at Tate High School in Pensacola, Fla. While at Tate, Rigby led the Aggies to a 22-39 record in six seasons. He also guided Tate to the state playoffs in 2008 for the first time in eight years.
