Troy junior Danny Collins hit for the cycle on Saturday in a 22-5 thumping of Florida A&M.
Collins doubled in the first, tripled in the third, hit a three-run home run in the fourth and singled twice in the sixth. He would finish the game 5-for-6.
Miles Hoyle was the last Trojan to hit for the cycle, that came in 2009.
The Trojans sent 15 batters to the plated in the nine-run sixth.
After hitting 1-for-3 in the second game of Saturday’s doubleheader, Collins is 6-for-11 (.545) through three games. He has two doubles, a triple, one home run and eight RBIs.
Trae Santos nearly had a cycle of his own but fell a double shy of the feat.
Troy won the second game 11-1.
Troy will wrap up the four-game series at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
