Pike Liberal Arts will host its annual alumni baseball game on Sunday Feb. 10 at 2 p.m.
Any former player wishing to participate should arrive at Butch Austin Field at 1:30 p.m.
The Patriots look to defend their state championship from last season. Pike won its first title with a thrilling 15-10 victory over Tuscaloosa Academy in Game 3 of the AISA Class AAA State Championship Series in May of 2012.
The Patriots had advanced to the two previous title series but fell to Glenwood School both times.
Pike finished the season 31-6 which marked the third consecutive 30-win season for the program.
Under the leadership of long-time head coach Butch Austin, the Patriots have amassed a 96-14 record over the past three season and have become the elite baseball program in the Alabama Independent School Association.
Pike will look to replace some key seniors from last year’s squad.
Outfielder and leading hitter Nick McLaughlin, catcher Blake Floyd and pitcher Josh Starling among others have moved on.
The Patriots will open the season against rival Edgewood Academy on Feb. 18 at Riddle-Pace Field.
