James Laster Garrett, age 98 , of Canton , Georgia , formerly of Troy died Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Cameron Hall Assisted Living Facility in Canton.  Funeral Services for James Laster Garrett will be held Sunday, January 20, 2013 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Reverend Frank Lowery officiating. Burial will follow in the Enon Cemetery. Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 4-6 and also Sunday , January 20, 2013  from 1-2  at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

Survivors include; Son and Daughter-in-law, Scott and Linda Garrett of Canton, His Grandchildren, Chris Jeffcoat, Clanton , Alabama, Amanda Wall, US Army,  Lindsay Garrett of Tuscaloosa, His Greatgrandchildren, Ashtyn Wall, Macenzie Wall and Angelina Jeffcoat. Mr. Garrett Was preceded in death by his wife , Gladys R. Garrett.

Serving as Pallbearers will be his Nephews and Grand Nephews.
