Trojan trio to play in all-star game on Saturday

Troy wide receiver Chip Reeves was added to the Stripes team roster for the Raycom College Football All-Star Classic.

The inaugural event held in the newly renovated Cramton Bowl in Montgomery on Jan. 19.

Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. and will be televised on the CBS Sports Network.

Reeves will join Troy offensive lineman Kyle Wilborn and linebacker Kanorris Davis in the game.

Reeves and Davis will participate as members of the Stripes team while Wilborn will play on the Stars squad.

Reeves was the top receiver in the Sun Belt Conference leading the league with 87.5 yards per game and ranked fifth in the conference with 5.43 receptions per game. He played in all 12 game for the Trojans and led the team in receptions, yards and touchdowns. Reeves caught 65 passes for 1.060 yards and six touchdowns.

Reeves had five 100-yard receiving games and caught touchdown passes in six games.
