Funeral service for Allie Sue Langston, 79 of Opelika was held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Jeffcoat-Trant Chapel. Ministers Claude Flynn and Bruce Green are officiated. Burial is in Garden Hills Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday one hour prior to the service at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Langston was born September 30, 1933 in Pike County, AL. She passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013 at East Alabama Medical Center. She was a native of Troy, and has lived most of her life in Opelika and Lake Martin. She was a member of the 10th Street Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Walters and Eula Pittman Walters; and a brother, Jimmy Walters.

Survivors include husband, Cecil L. Langston of Opelika; two sons, Michael Langston of Lake Martin, David Langston of Pensacola, FL; two grandchildren, Brooke Tilley and Steven Tilley; sister, Mary Ann (Jack) Norton of Troy; brother, Jack (Judy) Walters of Troy; and several nieces and nephews.
