With Troy’s loss to Arkansas State, CBSSports.com’s updated bowl projections have Troy playing in the Military Bowl in Washington D.C. against Ohio, which would be a rematch of the 2010 New Orleans Bowl. Of course, none of the projections matter if Troy doesn’t win next week’s rivalry match with Middle Tennessee State.

According to CBS’s projections, MTSU is slotted to play against Central Florida in the Beef O’Brady’s Bowl in St. Petersburg, Fla.

After talking to several Troy and Sun Belt officials, all are confident that a 6-win Troy team would get a bowl bid. Western Kentucky got let out of the bowl picture last season after a 7-5 campaign.
