Turn out for the Trojans this weekend

Troy University celebrates homecoming, and the final home game of the 2012 season, on Saturday. The day’s events begin with the Troy University Appreciation Day parade in downtown at 10 a.m. and continues with the homecoming game, a Sun Belt conference match against Arkansas State which kicks off at 2:30 p.m. Activities for the day include the Downtown Troy Tailgate and plenty of campus activities and alumni gatherings. And, of course, the homecoming queen will be crowned during the game.
Homecoming activities extend far beyond the reach of the university’s campus, as residents throughout Pike County take the opportunity to celebrate the Trojans and enjoy all the university and its teams bring to our community.
And coming on the heels of what is possibly one of the most exciting weekends in Troy athletic history – including the home opener in Trojan Arena, complete with an last-minute win by the Trojans over Mississippi State University and the Saturday afternoon trouncing of Navy on the football field – Trojans fans old and new are ready to join in the fun this weekend.
So put on your cardinal and black, head to the Square for the parade on Saturday morning and then to the campus that afternoon to cheer on the Trojans in their homecoming game.
It promises to be great fun!
