Troy basketball opens against Mississippi State tonight at 7. I wrote THIS feature on guard Hunter Williams, who is a transfer from College of Central Florida. He scored 19 points in Troy’s exhibition against Alaska-Anchorage on Monday.

The football team takes on Navy on the 237th birthday of the United States Marine Corps. I have a feeling there is something special in the works. Nothing huge, but different. I talked to Bill Wagner of the Annapolis Capital earlier in the week. HERE is the link to that audio interview.

There are just a few injuries of note heading into this week. All three of these guys are really day-to-day, but here is my interpretation of their status for the Navy game set for a 2:30 kick.
