The robotics team, SCORE (Space Creative Organization for Robotic Engineering), will be competing this weekend at Dothan High School against 15 other teams. SCORE’s robot, called NOVA, can move objects up and down and its arm moves sideways, according to team member Ladena Warren, a 10th grader from Charles Henderson High School. SCORE is made up of eight students from schools within Pike County and mentored by Kim Sellers, a pre-engineering teacher at the Troy-Pike Center for Technology, inventor Rick Uphouse and a representative from Lockheed Martin.
