Christy Marie Halstead and Matthew David Wilson were united in marriage on August 11, 2012. The ceremony was held at Lakepoint Resort in Eufaula with a reception following. Pastor Chris Toole officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Wayne Halstead of Eufaula.

She is the granddaughter of Ms. Tommie Halstead Brown and the late Mr. Wade W. Halstead, Sr. of Eufaula and Mrs. Rita Crochet and the late Mr. Joseph C. Morvant, Sr. of Thibodaux, LA. She is a 2008 graduate of Troy University with a degree in Business Management and is currently employed with The First National Bank of Brundidge.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael David Wilson of Troy.

He is the grandson of Mr. Larry Shiver, Mrs. Myra Wilson, and the late Mr. Norman Wilson, Jr. of Brundidge. He is a 2004 graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Biosystems Engineering and is currently employed with the Alabama Department of Transportation.

Following a honeymoon in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, the couple resides in Pike County.
