A Troy man was arrested Wednesday evening after making a run from police.
Elvis Wayne Bowles was taken into custody after he failed to stop when a Troy Police officer noticed he had an expired tag.
Bowles drove his blue Dodge Intrepid to a nail salon on U.S. Highway 231 near Hillside Mobile Home Park where he bailed out of the vehicle and ran on foot.
“He ran back over to a construction site and was taken into custody,” said Troy Police Sgt. Benny Scarbrough.
Officers recovered evidence known to be used in the illegal manufacture of a controlled substance.
Bowles was arrested for second-degree manufacturing of a controlled substance and attempting to elude police. His bond was set at $50,000 in the manufacturing case and he is being held in the Pike County Jail.
Scarbrough said this case will be a drug related investigation by the TPD and the officers that are attached to the 12th Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force.
