Curtis Jones Knotts, age 79, of Spotsylvania County, VA, formerly of Troy, passed away Monday, September 24, 2012 at Mary Washington Hospital. Graveside services will be Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery in Troy with Brother Randall Pearson officiating and Green Hills Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Saturday, September 29, 2012 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Mr. Knotts was a native of Troy, AL and served in the US Army. He had retired as the owner of Curtis Knotts Auto Body and PTR Truck Repair in Fredericksburg, VA

Mr. Knotts was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Knotts; his parents, Joel and Julia Knotts; brothers, J.D. Knotts, Douglas Knotts and Wallace Knotts; sisters, Doris Whitehead and Dorothy Garcia. Survivors include his children James Ronald Knotts of Fredericksburg; Cathi Yeatts and husband Brian of Spotsylvania and Lynda Birdwell and husband Adam of King George County; grandson Kyle Prouty of King George; brother Lamar Knotts of Troy, AL; sisters Frances Boutwell of Phoenix City, AL; Nellie Stinson of Jack, AL; Glenda Daniels of Elba, AL and numerous nieces and nephews.
