Police arrest man for Thursday shooting

Troy Police have arrested a man who had been on the lam since Sept. 20.

 

Robert Lee Hooten, 36, turned himself in to police at about 4 p.m. Tuesday in connection with a shooting that took place at the BP station on the 800 block of North 3 Notch Street last Thursday.

 

When police arrived on scene about 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 20, they found that a victim had been transported to the Troy Regional Medical Center’s Emergency Room for treatment of a gunshot wound to the leg.

 

Hooten has been charged with attempted murder and is being held on a $50,000 bond at the Pike County Jail.
