The “Laugh Out Loud Comedy Show” is coming to the Claudia Crosby Theater Friday night and will feature four popular actor/comedians with Palmer Williams, Jr. of Tyler Perry’s “House of Payne” as host.
TaLesa Harris, show producer, said the comedy show will showcase Brad James, Hollywood, Daruleo Black and De’Ant
“I’m very excited to have Palmer Williams Jr. to host the comedy show and to have such a great lineup of actor/comedians,” Harris said. “Brad James is a star of ‘For Better or Worse,’ which is a Tyler Perry comedy-drama television series. Hollywood is a great actor who appeared in ‘The Blind Side’ with Sandra Bullock and he’s funny, too. Daruleo Black is a popular comedian in the Atlanta area and De’Ant is just as popular working as a comedian in the Montgomery area. So, we’ll have a fantastic comedy show at the Claudia Crosby Theater Friday night.”
Harris said that comedy shows are often billed as adult entertainment but ‘Laugh Out Loud’ will be family entertainment.
“It’s a comedy show but I’ve talked with all of the entertainers and they understand that this show is for all ages,” she said. “It will be funny and fun for the entire family.”
Each of the comedians will have their time in the spotlight.
“Between each of the comedian’s performances, we’ll have live band performances, so ‘Laugh Out Loud’ will be much like a variety show,” Harris said. “Trey Allen is an incredible singer and he will be one of the featured entertainers. Loreal Washington will perform a tribute to Whitney Houston and you’ll think it is Whitney Houston. ‘A Step Above’ will do a step show so there will be something for everyone.”
Harris said everyone who enjoys a good laugh, and a lot of them, is invited to the “Laugh Out Loud Comedy Show.”
The show is sponsored by the NAACP-Troy Chapter and is a TaLesa J. Harris production.
Tickets for the comedy show are $10 in advance by calling 404-654-3394. Tickets at the door will be $15. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the comedy show begins at 6:30 p.m.
